Who are we?

Liquid Assets is a competitive dragon boat team affiliated with the Rotman Commerce program at the University of Toronto. We are committed to fostering a welcoming, family-like environment for members who reflect our values in Character, Commitment, and athletiCism, our 3 C’s!

Founded in 2007, our team of now over 40 paddlers compete primarily in the University and Under 24 divisions. We have 4 boats: women’s, open, and 2 mixed rosters.

Racing at the 2018 Club Crew World Championships in Hungary, Liquid Assets was named the fastest university team in the world. At the Canadian Dragon Boat Championships that same year, Liquid Assets placed 1st overall in both University and Under 24 divisions with 3 gold medals and 1 bronze.

Our 3 C’s

Character

We take pride in our sense of family. Being a part of Liquid Assets means pushing each other to become better versions of ourselves, and supporting each other when times get tough.

Commitment

To perform at our best, we must commit to ourselves, to each other, and to the process. Improvement takes time, so having passion and persistence is key. We believe this is what separates the good from the great.

AthletiCism

Dragon boat is a challenging sport, both physically and mentally. We place a strong emphasis on strength and conditioning, efficient technique, mobility, and developing mental grit.
